Tempe Arizona Stake

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we begin this new year, I express my love and gratitude for each of you. I have felt the Lord’s hand in this stake, and I know He is aware of you personally—your hopes, your efforts, and your private sacrifices to follow Him. Thank you for walking the covenant path with faith and humility.

This year, I invite all of us to turn more deliberately toward Jesus Christ by anchoring ourselves in simple, powerful habits of discipleship:

Be in the Book of Mormon every day.
Even a few verses can change the direction of a day, open a door of revelation, or soften and heal a weary heart. The Book of             Mormon is a gift from God for our time—let it be your daily companion and teacher.

• Never give up on daily prayer.
If prayer feels difficult or distant, keep trying. Pray with honesty. Pray with hope. Pray even when you feel you have little to say.           Heaven honors consistency. Miracles often come quietly, after many small moments of reaching upward.

• Have an eye single to the glory of God.
Let the Savior be the focus of our goals, our choices, and our desires. When He is at the center, priorities become clearer,                   temptations lose power, and peace becomes more abundant.

• Treasure your family above all earthly things.
Strengthen relationships. Forgive quickly. Speak kindly. Create memories. Protect time together. Let the gospel be lived first and        best in the walls of your home. No success in the world can compensate for failure within the home—and nothing in the world          can compare to joy within a covenant family.

My prayer is that this year will be a season of spiritual renewal and holy confidence in Christ. He IS the way. He is patient with our progress. He rejoices in every effort we make to follow Him.

I testify that as we seek Him, He will go before us, open paths we could not see, and make more of our lives than we can make on our own. May your homes be places of revelation, may your hearts be filled with peace, and may your faith in Jesus Christ deepen and grow.

With love and gratitude,
President Jason Galvis
